I'm building this site at a stupid o'clock in the AM rather than sleeping before work. But this is the happiest I've been behind a keyboard in a minute. Welcome to my first Neocities site!

I've just discovered Neocities, and I've fallen a bit in love! I'm excited to continue to explore other people's pages, and continue to build and modify my own!

I've started off by using sadgrl's layout builder, as it's been a while since I last played with flex boxes.

Why 'The Moonlit Montessori'?

I've dealt with insomnia all my life, and I'm a bit of a nerd. This has naturally lead to me spending many nights reading books and playing on the internet. I was feeling bad about the way I was using my time. I felt like I was wasting my waking life scrolling the web. I decided to re-frame the time for myself, and started the first version of the Moonlit Montessori.

The Montessori was inspired by the real-life Montessori school that I did IT work for at the time of the original site's creation. It was a small blog hosted on GitHub. I had added a few articles on it, and I began treating my random internet time as 'study time'. I was still wasting time at the same computer, but it felt productive and allowed me to relax.

The original Moonlit Montessori didn't last for very long. I got bored of updating it. The site went through a few versions after this. I created a WordPress version, but got bored of it. I then created a Notion and shared that with a public URL. I updated that one the most consistently, but got bored of it as well.

The most recent version of the Moonlit Montessori is a WebFlow site. I think I'll link this page in with it, and entertwine them. The more fun static content and creative web creations can live here, and my articles and posts will be on the the other site.
